Claire Cason is a Pilates Teacher at Yoga Mama Wellness. She graduated with a BSc Hons degree in Sport Rehabilitation from St Mary’s University in 2011. She completed her Masters Physiotherapy degree at the University of Southampton in 2014. Since completing her Masters, Claire has been working within the NHS in a variety of different settings. This has helped her to gain a wealth of knowledge in ranging pathologies. In the near future, she plans to increase her knowledge even further by undertaking a course in advanced neuromusculoskeletal sciences.
Claire has worked with various sports teams, including London Welsh and London Scottish rugby clubs. She also spent several months in the USA working with college athletes in South Dakota. In addition to this, she worked as an exercise rehabilitation instructor for the Ministry of Defence, assisting to injured soldiers to return back to the front line.
Claire has a strong interest in acrobatic gymnastics and has been involved with the sport for over 18 years, initially as gymnast and now a coach. This has allowed her to develop an understanding about further stages of rehabilitation and the demands this has on the body. Her treatments are tailored to individual needs from an early stage. Her recent training as a Pilates instructor has added extra tools to her arsenal to be able to do just that.
Claire teaches Pilates Rehab and general Pilates at Yoga Mama Wellness.
Yoga Mama Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training School runs Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training courses and Postnatal and Fertility CPD (Continued Personal Development) workshops. These courses and workshops are fully accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals.
