Yoga Mama Wellness Team

Eftal Guven LeBouquin - Yoga TeacherEftal Guven LeBouquin is a pregnancy and mum and baby yoga teacher at Yoga Mama Wellness. She has been practising yoga for more than 10 years, starting her yoga journey under the guidance of Saash Behnam Kheirolomor in Istanbul. She attended various yoga classes of different styles, practising with internationally acclaimed teachers, and qualified as an Iyengar-based Ashtanga teacher with Yogacharya Lalit Kumar in Goa in 2013. In 2014, she qualified as a Pregnancy Yoga teacher with Cherie Lathey at Yoga Mama. She is registered with Yoga Alliance UK (Associate Level 2).

As an avid learner, her practice has helped her grow stronger and become more mindful on and off the mat. In her classes, Effie encourages growth of the physical and spiritual self, and hopes that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.

Effie is also a certified Chakra Healing Practitioner, using breathwork, visualisation, crystals and mantra/sound healing; all of which aim to promote natural self-healing, relieving pain and enhancing personal awareness. When not on her mat, she can be found chasing her little daughter around.

When I met Cherie, I felt like I'd finally found the teacher for me. In only one session a week, I quickly saw a change in both my energy levels and muscle tone. Cherie's classes are dynamic and leave you feeling like you've had a good work out.

My Yoga Mama practice keeps me balanced, energised and sane. It takes a huge effort to drag myself out of bed on a Saturday morning. After practice, the stress and strains of the past week disappear and I feel strong enough to take on the world.

Karen Gill MBE

Tai Chi has helped me regain my balance, normal walking gait, confidence and control of my limbs after being diagnosed with a serious neurological illness. The teaching at Yoga Mama is first class and suits all levels of fitness.
