Reformer Pilates at Yoga Mama Wellness

REFORMER PILATES

Reformer Pilates is a low impact form of exercise. This means that it is easy on the joints, but is still challenging. At Yoga Mama Wellness and The Putney Clinic of Physical Therapy, we use the Allegro 2 reformer machine. This is a versatile piece of equipment that facilitates a wide range of exercises.

The machine also comes with attachments that allow us to increase the range of modifications to exercises. In addition to this, we can also carry out a broader range of exercises than in a traditional mat-based Pilates class. Furthermore, the machine’s resistance provides additional support. This support is especially beneficial to people with a limited range of movement or injury, as they can perform modified exercises safely.
