WHAT IS YIN YOGA?
Yin Yoga is a gentle, slow-paced practice where we hold poses for longer, with the focus being to work on the connective tissues and joints of the body. In Yin Yoga classes, we practise floor-based poses. These poses can be held for up to five minutes, depending on your level of experience. By holding these poses, we encourage relaxation and release in both the mind and the body.
OUR YIN YOGA CLASSES
Our Yin Yoga classes are suitable for all levels; whether you are new to yoga or want to deepen and develop your knowledge and understanding of the practice. This class is a combination of different yoga techniques. We look at posture and breath work, as well as mediation and relaxation techniques. In addition, we explore how a yoga practice can stretch the body and quieten a busy mind, thus encouraging greater peace and happiness.
We currently offer group classes in our studio and online. 1:1 Yin Yoga sessions are also available upon request.
FIND A CLASS
We run online group yin yoga classes on Friday mornings with Cherie. At present we offer this class as a five-week course. Consult our class timetable for class times and fees, and how to book a class.
BOOKING A CLASS
Places on our in-studio group classes are limited and are on a first-come first-serve basis. At present we are unable to take class bookings or accept cash payments at our reception. Therefore, students must make all bookings and payments via our online booking system. Enrolment closes 60 minutes before classes are due to commence, so we urge you to book early to avoid disappointment. We currently offer online and in-studio 1:1 Yin Yoga. These are unavailable to book online. So, if you would like to book a session, please send an email to email@example.com or call 07939 589 083. To consult our 1:1 fees sessions and discounted block bookings, click here.
Enrolment for online classes closes 60 minutes before the class start time, so book early to avoid disappointment. Please note, online class bookings are not valid on our in-studio classes.
When scheduling your class, you will receive a confirmation email which includes the Zoom meeting link for your class. Join the 'meeting' 5 minutes or so before your class is due to starts with your audio and video switched on so that the teacher can say hello. You can then go off and do other things or get settled before the class starts.
We run our online classes using ZOOM. In order to join a class, download the latest version of Zoom. We recommend leaving plenty of time for this so as to avoid any last minute hitches before your class starts.
Please ensure your device is charged sufficiently for the duration of the class (60 minutes).
